Job Description

Filter & Water Technologies, LLC is expanding its Montgomeryville, PA operations and is seeking to add a full-time member to our Service / Fabrication Team.

The Field Service / Fabrication Technician is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of water treatment equipment and systems, including filtration, reverse osmosis, and deionization systems. This role also supports fabrication activities related to equipment builds. Approximately 30% travel to customer locations is required, typically within a two-hour radius of our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, preventive maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of water treatment equipment and systems, including filtration, reverse osmosis, and deionization systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on high purity water treatment systems at customer sites, including filter changes, portable DI and carbon tank exchanges, RO cleanings and sanitizations, UV lamp and quartz sleeve replacements, loop sanitizations, and equipment calibrations
  • Perform emergency service for customers as required, including changing portable DI/carbon tanks, repairing leaks, and addressing equipment malfunctions
  • Complete service reports detailing maintenance performed and equipment/system status
  • Provide thorough documentation of all work, parts, and time in accordance with SOPs
  • Communicate with the Service Manager regarding service issues
  • Assist the Fabrication and Installation Team with equipment builds, installation, startup, and calibration of new central water systems
  • Follow customer contractor and visitor rules
  • Use safe work practices while driving, working in the shop, and at customer sites
  • Maintain positive customer relations
  • Maintain neat work areas, including vehicles, shop, and work sites
  • Work overtime as required to meet customer demands or workload
  • Occasional overnight and weekend work as required

Additional Requirements

  • Basic mechanical and electrical skills
  • Basic plumbing skills (Schedule 80 PVC; copper sweat or ProPress experience helpful)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to follow written SOPs and cGMP requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must follow safety rules and wear required PPE
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without physical restrictions
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
