Filter & Water Technologies recently completed the design, fabrication, installation and start-up of another pharmaceutical grade Purified Water System meeting the current published water quality standards as outlined by the United States Pharmacopeia.

 

The customer decided that it was time to replace an existing system that had been in service for over 20 years.  However, in order to minimize installation costs Filter & Water’s design engineers were required to fabricate the system skids to match the existing equipment pads.  Because of the limited opening to the mechanical room the customer also decided to re-purpose the existing 1000 gallon RO storage tank.

The rendition of the system shows the existing equipment pads with the new Purified Water System equipment.  The equipment layout, as shown, with only the exception of the storage tank was temporarily hooked up in Filter & Water’s factory testing area and completely performance tested prior to being delivered to the customer.

A complete wetted Factory Acceptance Test was executed and documented with the customer present along with the A/E firm of record. The customer’s mechanical contractor provided removal and demolition of the existing 20+ year old equipment.  Filter & Water field technicians delivered and positioned the equipment at the job site and provided all interconnect piping and wiring between the skids.

The mechanical contractor provided single point electrical power connection to the system’s Master Control Panel and connection of incoming water and distribution loop supply and loop return connections.

 

Filter & Water Technologies’ field technicians then provided complete start-up of the system and disinfection/sanitization of the system and the associated building distribution piping.  A detailed Site Acceptance Test was executed and documented again in the presence of the customer and the A/E firm engineer.  Upon completion the customer received a detailed Documentation Package for the system.
