About the Project
A prominent, innovative co-packaging company located in central New Jersey recognized the imperative of purifying its plant’s product formulation water.
The company’s existing water system featured carbon filtration to eliminate chlorine and organics, a membrane filtration system for the removal of dissolved solids and mineral salts, processed water storage tanks, and a distribution/re-circulation system incorporating ultraviolet (UV) disinfection for managing water-borne bacteria and final submicron filtration.
The company’s swift success had garnered significant attention, attracting beverage manufacturers in search of co-packagers to enhance their production capacity.
As the business surged, overwhelming growth necessitated substantial expansions in 2016 and 2017. The original water purification system’s capacity could no longer accommodate the demand and the anticipated future expansion.
Filter & Water Technologies, the supplier and maintenance service provider for the original system, was selected to design, fabricate, and install a new system more than twice the size of the original.
This new system boasts a capacity exceeding 500,000 gallons of product formulation water per day.
